Q. How many flight hours are included in the Cessna Citation C500 SIC Course?

A. The SIC program allows for up to three hours of logged flight time in the Citation 500 Series aircraft.  You will get at least an hour of time for each LOFT (Depending on class size, all three Lofts may be combined in one flight) during which you will start the engines,  and be taught the systems, then perform a takeoff and landing to a full stop.   You can also sit in the airplane as much as you are able to memorize the flows and procedures.

Q. How many flight hours are included in the Cessna Citation C500 PIC Course?

A. The PIC Initial includes a minimum of 2.5 hours, which includes the check ride. Additional time may be required to train to proficiency.

Q. Can I buy individual hours in the aircraft?

A. Yes you can,  it will end up being $2500 an hour.

Q. Is the training only for C500? Or, Will I get the rating for a line of Citation Aircrafts?

A. The training will be done in your aircraft or our C550 but will be valid for eleven different models of the Citation series.

Q. Can you get me a pilot job when I am finished?

A. Although no one can guarantee you a job, Global Flight Training will do everything we can to prepare and assist you in the job search process.  See our list of what is included in our SIC course and you will find we go a long way.

Q. Does Global Flight Training provide housing?

A.We don’t provide housing but we do have many available hotels nearby.  We would be happy to recommend one with reasonable prices.

Q. How much money should I bring for one week in Houston for 5 days of training?  Is there an average costs per day?

A. Hotel $80 -$200 per night, $20+ per day for meals, a car is $22 to $35 a day.

Q. Is the training in groups?

A. We have a Second in Command class once every other month (the even months), and we will train you on an individual basis if requested at an additional charge.

Q. About the payment process, when should I pay, before leaving or when I check-in?

A. We require a down payment of $1000 before you come which reserves you in the class and we will send you the course material.  The remainder will be required at the beginning of class.

Q. Is ICAO English proficiency necessary?

A. Yes, we follow ICAO standards and English is required.

Q. About the Visa process, can Global Flight Training help me to get one?

A. No, however we are currently working on becoming a sponsor for J1 visas but this process has not been finalized yet.

Q. All my licenses are not US/FAA licenses can I still train?

A. Absolutely, however you would need to get your ratings converted to US/FAA ratings.  The US ratings do not expire and have recognized value around the world.  We have a process already set up to help you get this done.  Please let us know if you are interested in this.

Q. How is the program seen by my country?  Will the Cessna Citation SIC Rating will be included on my local License?

A. Because the training will be done in the USA and in USA registered aircraft, it will be added to your USA license.  This will allow you to fly any N registered Citation listed above.
