Fly your Citation 500 series aircraft alone without the hassles and expenses of an extra crewmember! When you hold this rating and your Citation 500 series aircraft is properly equipped, you can fly the aircraft alone, reducing the total expense and crew logistics for each flight.

Vue Inc. (parent company of Globlal Flight Training) is the owner of an STC (Exemption 9917) which allows FAA approved Single Pilot (SP) operation of a Citation 500 series aircraft with any wing and any serial number.

This training and exemption can be combined with your actual Type Rating or yearly CE500 Recurrent Training and Check-ride.

This exemption lasts for 12 calendar months after which recurrent training is required.

Course Entry Requirements:

● Commercial, or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate

● Multi-Engine Class Rating

● Instrument Airplane Rating

● At least 1000 hours total time

● 50 hours of night flight

● 75 hours instrument (40 actual)

● 500 hours as PIC or SIC in turbine powered airplanes

● 1ST or 2nd Class Medical

● CE-500 Type Rating

Aircraft Requirements:

● Autopilot with Approach Coupling Capability

● Flight Director System

● Boom Microphone

● Transponder “ident” button on pilots control wheel

● The airplane converted by this STC may increase the number of passengers to the maximum limit without installing a cockpit recorder.

Training Course Includes:

● Aircraft training materials

● Manuals (Aircraft and systems manual, training manual, weight and balance)

● Cockpit familiarization poster

● Custom tailored ground training

● Flight training in your aircraft at your location or in our aircraft at our location

● Prep for Oral & PTS Type rating check-ride

● Check ride with DPE

Duration Of Training:

● Single Pilot Exemption Initial Training: 2-3 days

● 2 days of intense ground school

● 1-2 days of flight training to proficiency. Usually 1 flight

● Check ride with DPE

● Flight training in your aircraft at your location and schedule or

● Flight training in our aircraft at KDWH, Hooks Airport, Spring, Texas

● If you have a trip planed, we can incorporate a LOFT (Line Oriented Flight Training) flight which cuts down on your overall training costs. If carrying passengers, a separate flight is required for the air work (stall series and steep turns) which the FAA does not allow with passengers onboard.
